Lead Phlebotomy Tech

Collects and processes human samples, such as blood and urine specimens, for testing in the laboratory, according to specimen collection and processing protocols. Serves as a resource for training new staff and resolving phlebotomy-related problems on their shift. Assists with scheduling and staffing.

Qualifications

Minimum Education

High school diploma or equivalent required

Required Skills

Certifications:

Heartsaver CPR American Heart Association required

Minimum Work Experience

Minimum of one (1) year phlebotomy experience required

Required Skills

PBT (ASCP or ASPT) or equivalent obtained within two years of employment preferred

Valid driver’s license required
